The Systems and Control Research Group has a multidiscplinary focus carrying out applied, theoretical as well as computational research and spanning several areas in engineeering as well as the biological and medical sciences. Industrial research activities include areas such as steel casting and rolling technology; power plant control and application, motor control; chemical engineering process control. Biomedical research activities include areas such as system neuroscience and human movement control as well as physiological systems. Theoretical and computational research activities include nonlinear control, adaptive signal processing and control, stochastic control, inverse problems, system identification and motion estimation.
